Vacations are great, but when you’re a business owner – especially a pet sitting business owner, a vacation isn’t a ‘real’ vacation in the true sense of the word. Yes, I can get away. I have a fantastic staff who does a great job of holding down the fort while we’re gone but I still […]
Love Pets? We’re Hiring!
Would you or someone you know like a job where you’re greeted by happy customers every day? Are looking to hire pet sitters in the following areas:
Preparing For Your Pet Sitter
Hubby and I recently went to Vermont for a couple of days to celebrate our Anniversary. Having three cats; two which require medications, two dogs; one which requires medication and eleven chickens; four which are separated from the rest of the flock because they are teenagers, preparing to go away is quite a lot of […]
Meet The New Pet Sitting Mobile!
In a previous post I discussed “Should you be concerned if your pet sitter advertises on their vehicle“? The feedback was quite positive so I took the plunge and would like to introduce you to the newest addition to the Purrfect Pet Sitting family! Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Pet Sitting Mobile:
Happy Birthday To Us! 98 In Dog Years!
It just boggles my mind that FOURTEEN years ago today Purrfect Pet Sitting was born! This business has grown beyond my wildest imagination in the past fourteen years. I have gone from a sole proprietor, doing everything by myself while still working a full time job, to having a staff of four fantastic pet sitters.
Why Your Pet Sitter/Dog Walker Can’t Guarantee An Exact Time For Their Visit
We are very good at our jobs and can usually give you a very good estimate of what time your pet sitter will be there to visit your pets. We can generally give a range within 30 minutes either way. We cannot however GUARANTEE an exact time. There are several reasons for this:
Has Your Pet Sitter Ever Dealt With A Break In?
One of a pet sitter’s biggest fears is arriving to your home to find it had been broken into and burglarized. Even worse would be arriving to your home to find the burglar still inside! Sadly, both of these instances HAVE happened in our fourteen years of business.
When A Client Doesn’t Trust The Pet Sitter/Dog Walker
During our initial contact with a potential client be either via email or phone we discuss any questions or concerns they may have before scheduling a meeting to make sure we are both comfortable with the proposed arrangement. Before we meet we make it clear that we are coming to fill out the paperwork and pick up […]
Will Your Pet Sitter or Dog Walker Care For Aggressive Dogs?
Thankfully it doesn’t happen often, but every once in a while we encounter an aggressive dog. Sometimes the owner is up front about this during our initial conversation but occasionally we don’t find out until our consultation when we are greeted at the door by Cujo. We will gladly come and meet your dog and see how […]
Should You Be Concerned If Your Pet Sitter Advertises On Their Vehicle?
As I’ve mentioned in the past pet sitting is largely a word of mouth business. We rely on our happy clients to recommend us to their friends, family and neighbors. Many pet sitters choose to also advertise on their vehicles; either in the form of magnets on the doors, window lettering or, in rare occurrences, vehicle wraps. […]
