We want you to know that, as your trusted pet sitters and dog walkers we are doing everything we can to keep a safe and healthy environment for you, your pets and our employees.
We need to be mindful of the situation and do what we can to take precautions.
Our basic protocol has always been for pet sitters and dog walkers to wash their hands at the end of each visit. We will now be washing our hands at the beginning of each visit as well.
We’d like to kindly ask the following of you, our client:
- Please clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using regular household cleaning sprays or wipes. If you have antibacterial wipes, you may leave them in a visible location and we will make sure to wipe all door handles and work surfaces we used during our visit prior to leaving your home.
- Make sure your pet sitter has a current list of emergency contacts.
- Have a plan in case you get quarantined somewhere and can’t make it back as originally planned. Be sure to let your pet sitter know so we can continue visits.
- Stock up on pet food and supplies before you leave (see above).
- If you are a midday dog walking client and you stay home sick, please let us know. We will NOT make visits when someone is home sick.
If you find yourself working from home because your office is closed and your dog needs a walk, let us know! As long as no one in your household is ill, we can walk the dog while you work.
As our valued client, if you have to cancel your vacation plans last-minute due to COVID-19, please let us know sooner rather than later. If someone in your home is ill, we’d prefer you to cancel any services you have booked.
As a reminder, our (very lenient) cancellation policy for vacationers has always been as follows:
Except for holiday periods, cancellations may be made up to one day in advance of the first scheduled visit with no cancellation fee. Cancellations of less than 24 hours are due in full. Cancellations during holiday periods may be made up to seven (7) days in advance of the first scheduled sit. After that period, a cancellation fee will be charged of 50% of the total reservation. Cancellations of less than 48 hours are due in full.
